D-Nadz Jewelry Website Makeover

I received an inquiry from Nadine, a jewelry designer who wanted to give her website a makeover. She wanted to pump some life into her digital real estate, DNadzJewelry.com.

Upon reviewing her website and after a full length chat with Nadine, I was clear on what needed to be done. We were going to infuse some color for a fun feel, yet keeping the aesthetics classically clean. Initially I wasn’t sure about the color scheme, but I am always up for a challenge. And in the end, the color combination and the finished product turned out to be exactly what she wanted.

The first step was to come up with a color palette and gather inspiration. I then created the moodboard to have a visual guide and ensure we were on the same page, before attempting to make any edits to the site. I already knew she had a thing for purple so we selected a purple that was beautifully soothing, added some orange and blue, against white background to make her content and the photos of her designs pop.

Nadine didn’t have an official logo, so I captured the text header as a PNG, to use as a logo element for her visual graphics. This enabled a cohesiveness and tied all the pieces together as one unit. In the end, the final results surprised even me!
